The holiday season gets underway here in South Fairfax with the 17th annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza & Craft Show. The Chamber and several Chamber members are pleased to sponsor this great community event. Following Covid, many community events had to be canceled but the Extravaganza is back and looks to be better than ever!

Get an early start on your holiday shopping and support local small businesses by shopping with 180 handcraft vendors, a silent auction, and fun and games for the kids! Santa arrives on a fire truck to South County High School's football stadium at 8:20am. The 6th annual Candy Cane Kids' Fun Run benefitting SoCo Swim & Dive kicks off at 8:30a. Other kids' activities include a Sing-Along with Santa at 10a followed by book readings and signings by local children's authors! Kids can get the experience of doing their own holiday shopping at the Jingle Bell Holiday Kids' Shoppe where EVERY item is only $8! Photos with Santa are from 10:30a-12 noon with Santa Steve Adams (the real Santa!). Kids’ games, face painting and Greetings for the Troops run 9a-3p. Santa's Book Emporium features unique gift baskets for the book lover on your gift list! FREE Child ID and Fingerprinting are courtesy of the Fairfax Co Sheriff.

Blood supplies across the region are critically low so the Chamber is partnering with SFCC Member Inova for a much-needed blood drive. Please consider signing up to donate blood on Saturday, Dec 3 from 9a-2p at South County High School. The Inova Blood Services blood mobile will be on-hand in the school parking lot. All donors receive FREE admission to the 17th Annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza & Craft Show and a FREE shopping bag courtesy of the South Fairfax Chamber.
